Nancy Marcantel

Nancy Marcantel is the founder of Animal Rescue Foundation of Louisiana (ARF-LA), non-profit organization based out of Lafayette. ARF-LA’s mission is to provide veterinary care, shelter and adoption services for stray, abandoned and surrendered pets.In South Louisiana, ARF-LA was called upon to assist the massive rescue effort during the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. The organization has been recognized nationally for its efforts, including most recently through media coverage on CNN.

In addition to her involvement with ARF-LA, Nancy is also a seasoned musician and actress who has traveled Europe and the United States as an ambassador for Louisiana music. Nancy received both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette.
