Bernadine Santistevan

Bernadine is a scriptwriter, film director and producer. She recently secured U.S. and international distribution for her feature film, The Cry, based on the legend of "La Llorona." Bernadine is currently writing a television pilot (also about La Llorona) and a script for her next feature film—both projects that she will be directing. She is also completing a children's fantasy book. Beyond filmmaking, Bernadine works at a hedge fund and has worked in executive roles in early stage technology and media companies, both as a consultant and formerly as a venture capitalist for GE Capital. Bernadine studied mechanical engineering at Stanford and finance at The Wharton School of Business. She also has a certificate in filmmaking from New York University.
